The Lake Ripley Management District hereby notifies the public that a possible quorum of the Lake Ripley Management District Board members may occur to attend an 'Open House' on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 between 10am-1pm to learn about the proposed BECI Tranmission Line. This open house will take place at the Jefferson County Fairground Activity Center located at 503 N. Jackson Avenue, Jefferson, WI in order to learn more about the project. 

A 765kV transmission line will be part of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), the Regional Transmission Organization that covers much of the upper Midwest and parts of the central United States. MISO selected Midcontinent Grid Solutions (MGS) to build the line.   

The final route will be determined by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission (PSC). Visit the project website which now includes the proposed routes.

The transmission lines will include 150 feet to 200 feet tall structures spaced approximately 1,200 feet apart.
