BECI Website
The District has created a website where we will post any updates regarding the BECI 765-kV Transmission Line project that is being proposed. Find the website here: https://lakeripley.org/beci-765-kv-transmission-line/
A 765kV transmission line will be part of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), the Regional Transmission Organization that covers much of the upper Midwest and parts of the central United States. MISO selected Midcontinent Grid Solutions (MGS) to build the line.
The final route will be determined by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission (PSC). Visit the project website which now includes the proposed routes.
See an overview of the proposed transmission line routes and projected timeline on the BECI Factsheet.
The transmission lines will include 150 feet to 200 feet tall structures spaced approximately 1,200 feet apart.
